RUT tax deduction for laundry
From the 1st of January 2021 a RUT (Cleaning, Maintenance and Laundry) tax deduction applies to laundry.
From the 1st of January 2021 a RUT tax deduction applies to laundry. At Downstairs, you will receive the RUT tax deduction directly in the store – or on your invoice. The maximum amount for the tax deduction is raised to 75,000SEK per person and year and in addition the following four new services are added:
- Wash clothes and home textiles water-based at the laundry, and transport laundry to the laundry store.
- Furnish home and assemble furniture. Interior design services are not included.
- Transportation of household goods to both second-hand shops, flea markets and similar places where the household goods can be reused, and to and from storage.
- Simpler supervision of home such as taking in the mail, watering flowers, flushing water taps and toilets.
We, at Downstairs, wash at the moment 95% of our submitted laundry in water wash cleaning. It’s good for the environment, good for our staff, gentle on the clothes and now, with the help of the laundry tax deduction, it’s good for your wallet.

Why do you get a RUT tax deduction for laundry at us?

There are many advantages with the system; Among other things it means reduced chemical use, less environmental impact, but also a great advantage for our staff that don’t have to deal with a lot of chemicals.
